ABOUT

I am an Emmy-nominated Editor, Writer, Story Producer, Director, and member of the Television Academy.

My film and television career started in Development and Executive Services for Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal’s Tribeca Productions and Canal Films where I read scripts and provided coverage on submissions including treatments, IP, and pitch decks.

Armed with a passion for storytelling and creative problem solving, I use my talents across a variety of genres and formats – from short form social media videos, promos, sizzles, and short films to long form television and film. I have created engaging content for start-ups, corporate clients, trade schools, political action committees, theaters, and television. In total, I have 130+ episode credits as a key creative. I love finding the heart of a compelling character, theme, stakes, and plot and turning it all into compelling stories.

My unscripted, nonfiction, and docu-series work has been seen on award-winning and top-rated programs across networks and streamers. Programs I have contributed to have won Critics Choice Awards and American Reality Television Awards. I have also worked in development, researching subjects, talent, and IP, creating pitch decks and sizzles, and pitching original material and concepts to networks.

In 2021, I completed the exclusive WGA East Nonfiction Showrunners Training Program. I was mentored by industry showrunners on pitching, team management, giving creative notes, leadership, liaising between stakeholders and networks, and general oversight of large-scale productions.

I am also a screenwriter. I utilize my background in documentaries and unscripted television to write research-heavy projects and adaptations. My writing has been recognized by top industry fellowships and residencies. In 2021, I was a resident in the Cannes Film Festival Screenwriting Residency (CannesFilms Unlimited) overseen by the Festival de Cannes, Vivendi, and StudioCanal. I have also been a Finalist for programs from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nicholl Fellowship, the Black List, MGM, Sony, Sundance, the Orchard Project, and many more (full list on Writing page).

Raised in rural Maryland, my scripts are decidedly working class. They focus on outsiders breaking through barriers in life, highlighting underdogs, forged-families, and past trauma.

My short films have played at film festivals worldwide – from Berlin, Germany to Cork, Ireland to the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City.

I graduated magna cum laude from Salisbury University in 2010, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media Production, and a minor in Film Studies, focusing on adaptations.
